I don't know why I like this postcard so much :)
Since 1840, Antoine's has been recognised as one of New Orleans outstanding and elegant French restaurants. Cassie who sent this postcard loves the colour of the building.
Have a nice day!

PS: I GOT ADMITTED TO UNIVERSITY! :D

7. Batad Rice Terraces, Philippines.
Hello again :)
Today I received a wonderful postcard from Marites who visited this place last year.
Batad's amphitheater-like terraces were carved by Ifugao's indigenous people more than 2000 years ago. It's one of the wonders of the modern world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Have a nice day!
Ola :)

6. Postcrossing 's Birthday / Comment problem.
Hello :-)
I've just changed the layout because the previous one didn't allow to leave any comments.
The Postcrossing Project is 6 years old!
"The Postcrossing project was started by Paulo Magalhães from Portugal as a side project while he was a student. Paulo loves to receive mail and postcards in particular; from friends, family or from anywhere in the globe. The more random the place and person, the better. He knew more people shared the same interest, but there was no good way yet to connect them across the planet.
And that's how he got the initial idea of creating an online platform to support this offline hobby. The goal: to connect people across the world through postcards, independent of their location, age, gender, race or beliefs.
After playing with the idea for a while, Paulo started to create the website in his free time. Friends helped testing, Ana Campos designed the Logo and after much indecision about the name, on July 14th, 2005 the Postcrossing Project website was open to everyone for free."
Happy Birthday, Postcrossing!
Have a nice day,
Ola

5. Boston, USA.
Boston is a capital of Massachusetts. It's the largest city in the New England Region and one of the oldest cities in the USA.
The Old State House was the seat of the King's Colonial Government when it was completed in 1713. It's now an interesting museum and a part of the Boston National Historical Park. I got this postcard from Mary.
This one is from Heather.
Boston's tallest buildings rise dramatically above the Back Bay's older landmarks and church steeples which were considered tall not many years ago.
The 60 story John Hancock Building is at the left centre and the Prudential Tower is on the right side of the picture. The midrise buildings in the centre are Copley Place.
Happy Postcrossing!

4.Belarus - postcards.
Today I received a beautiful postcard from Anya.
It's a winter view of Belarusian UNESCO object - the castle of Mir. It's located in the Karelichy District. The construction of the castle began in the 15th century.
I have 2 postcards from Minsk.
I got this one from Vladimir. He lives in Minsk and he wanted to show me the General Post Office. It was opened in 1955.
This postcard is from Nastya, who lives in Minsk too.
It's St.Simon & Helen's Roman-Catholic Church built in 1910 and I. Golubev's sculpture "George the Victory Bearer".
And this is my first postcard from Belarus, sent by Ira. It shows the church of St.Trinity in Myadel (in the Lake Naroch National Park - Narochanski).
Have a nice day!

3. Germany, 1944.
I've just found this postcard in my grandpa's cupboard. It was send by my great grandfather's brother to his family. Unfortunately, I don't know if he was at war when he sent it... It's possible that he was spending some time in Brandenburg for other reasons. I don't speak German so I have no idea...
The card is written in German because in 1944 Poland was still occupied by the Germans during World War II. Look at the stamp...
Have a nice day!

2.Finland - stamps.
These are some advantages of having a penpal from Finland (greetings to Minna!) and being a Postcrosser. :)
Rubus idaeus
(red raspberry).
Just a stamp. :)
A rose.
Aurora Borealis. :)
"Merry Christmas". :P It's just a rubber stamp but I like it.
The garden tiger moth (Arctia caja) is a moth of the Arctiidae family.
This one is my favourite! <3 Is this a bird house?
Moomins! What could be more FINNISH? :)
Nice flowers. :-)
And another stamp showing the northern lights.
Happy Postcrossing!

1. Canada.
Hello! I've just received a beautiful postcard from Prince Edward Island, Canada.
Some time ago I added it to my favourites and then Emma sent it to me. Thank you, Emma! And I love the stamps. :)
This lighthouse can be seen in the Prince Edward Island National Park of Canada, the home of sand dunes, beaches, sandstone cliffs, wetlands and forests.
The island has become famous around the world as the inspiration for the setting in Lucy Maud Montgomery's "Anne of Green Gables". "Anne..." is one of my favourite books. :-)
This is the bookmark I got from my Canadian penpal Alycia. The original "Kindred Spirits" painting, by island artist Diana Savidant, was commissioned on Prince Edward Island, by George and Maureen Campbell, relatives of Montgomery.
The quotation at the back of the bookmark is "Kindred Spirits are not so scare as I used to think. It's splendid to find out that there are so many of them in the world". It was said by Anne of Green Gables. :)
Alycia also sent me these stickers. They're lovely, aren't they?
This is Moncton, Alycia's hometown. Moncton has a comfortable blend of French and English culture and is the major urban centre of southeast New Brunswick.
Hopewell Rocks in the Bay of Fundy are a natural wonder created over thousands of years by the tidal forces in the area.
I just have to travel to Canada one day.
Happy Postcrossing!
And have a nice day!
