7. Batad Rice Terraces, Philippines.

Hello again :)

Today I received a wonderful postcard from Marites who visited this place last year.

















Batad's amphitheater-like terraces were carved by Ifugao's indigenous people more than 2000 years ago. It's one of the wonders of the modern world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

  2. I've seen many postcards of rices terraces in various places but I think this is the best ever. You can see how it works, flooding the fields.
